Childcare has been offered at Riverbank Early Years at its current location since 1992 and has developed to meet the needs of the local community.
We are located in the Eileen Lecky Clinic in a large playroom and cater for 17 children aged between 2 years to under 5 years. We have an excellent outdoor learning environment and make use of this all year round. We are registered with OFSTED and have received very good reports (please look at our comments page or on the link below).
We have also recently attained the Gold QUILT quality assurance award (a process for developing high quality childcare and early education). We are proud to display the quality kitemark that confirms we have reached the high standards required. These include:

- Record of delivering a high quality service for children
Riverbank is open from 9.15am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday term time only.
Riverbank Early Years has an experienced staff team holding a variety of qualifications, and in addition we have staff team members who are undergoing or updating their training. We believe that all of our staff should have the opportunity to access further training to keep them up to date on current practice and we carry out in-service training whenever possible.
The staff team is wholly commited to giving each child the best care and education that they deserve and do this through the use of a plan for learning (curriculum) and acknowledge the Birth to Three Framework and the Foundation Stage for early learning. Nursery Education Grants are accepted at this centre for eligible children aged three years and over. Other forms of childcare vouchers may be considered following discussion with the manager.
Being a community based childcare provider allows children a level of continuity whereby they move on to local schools with other children from the centre.
We are members of the WPPA (Wandsworth Primary Play Association) an educational charity that provides advice and support on the care and learning of children aged from 0-12 years. For more information about the WPPA and other member groups click on the link below
